You will notice that our plans have a simple rating box alongside and you can see that there is a 1 to 5 rating system for each plan. We include categories for “Skill Level”, “Time”, and “Cost”. When reviewing these items keep in mind that the skill level is a general guide, the time value assumes average woodworking skills and the “Cost” item is relative to similar items.
About the Cost rating
The cost rating is a relative measure of the cost of this item compared to similar items. For eample, if you were to view the “Cost” rating for the Greene and Greene style Adirondack chair, you will notice that the cost rating is a 5. Now, this certainly doesn’t compare to the cost of the Kids Playhouse Plans. This is simply a measure of the relative cost of the Greene and Greene chair compared with a similar item such as the Pallet Adirondack Chair that is essentially built with reclaimed material.
We hope you enjoy WoodworkCity and also hope that the summary that accompanies each plan helps with your building choice.
