A dresser seems like a very intimidating project that many are afraid to tackle, but if you break it down, it is one of the easier wood projects you could build.. A dresser is essentially a series of boxes. A dresser is a project where the room for error (fudge factor) is relatively high. A mistake will not ruin everything.
This project plan is from Instructibles. In their project, the builder is joining panels for the top piece due to the width. However, you could buy a project panel to avoid gluing your own panel or you could use plywood with edge banding instead. There are many options with most wood plans that will achieve (essentially) the same result.
