This is a project for your shop that you will use all the time. These free plans are for a sawhorse that uses a mortise and tenon joint. In fact, these are somewhat of a non-traditional looking sawhorse and could really be used as table bases. We have featured other saw horse plans in the past and these would certainly class up your shop.
You will need to make a choice of either using fir, clear cedar, or pine, to build your sawhorses out of. With that in mind, collect the following materials:
- Double-Sided Tape
- Wood Finish (Optional)
- 1 x 4 x 8 Lumber (1)
- 2 x 4 x 8 Lumber (1)
- 4 x 6 x 8 Lumber (1)
- 4 x 4 x 8 Lumber (2)
The tools you will need are:
- Combination Square
- Drill Bit or Brad Point Bit
- Drill Press or Drill
- Hammer
- Handsaw
- Knife
- Sandpaper or Hand Plane
- Table Saw or Other Saw
- Wood Chisel
These fine looking sawhorses can be long-term workhorses in your shop for years to come. Click the link below to get started on this project that will help make future projects.
