A New WoodworkCity A New WoodworkCity

Well, the last time we shared a blog post we were welcoming you to the new version of WoodworkCity.  Looks to be that time again.  Our site has undergone an extensive redesign to ensure the best experience for our users.   Our goal was to make it easier to find what you are looking for in a visual way.

Pinterest, and other social media sites, have become such an integral part of the DIY community that we made sure to include features that made it easy to Pin, Share, Tweet, Post, or Favorite an item so that you can come back when you are ready to build and you can share with your own social network.

Throughout the site, you will also notice that sharing numbers are included with each plan post.  This gives you some insight into the activity at WoodworkCity. The “popular” and “hot” plan designations are based on internal numbers that began tracking in February 2015.

For each plan we are also making an effort to give you a sense of the difficulty, cost, and time involved with the plan.  Plan “cost” numbers should  be considered relative to the item that you are building.  The “cost” of an out building can’t really be compared to that of a whirligig.  When you are viewing the “cost” scale, consider that measure as something compared to other similar items.

Responsive Site Layout

We also made an effort to provide you with a site that functions well and is easy to navigate on a mobile phone or tablet.  WoodworkCity has a responsive design that should work well with the latest mobile devices.   If you are having trouble with your device, please let us know and we’ll be sure to respond.

We are always open to your questions and suggestions and include a comment section for each plan that we include on the site.  If there is a bad link to a plan, we can almost certainly locate the plan for you. Simply post a comment and we will respond within 24 hours.

Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to sign up for our free plan e-mail newsletter.

Sincerely,

WoodworkCity.com
