Free Compost Bin Plans

The following free plan is from RONA.  For those who don’t know, RONA is a large Canadian retailer along the lines of Home Depot and Lowes.

If you are an active recycler and also a gardener, there is no better combination.  Recycle your newspaper, vegetables, coffee grounds, etc.  You could run out and grab a store bought bin, or you could build something that is more attractive and would suit your outdoor space properly.

To be honest, I am unsure what the left side of this “bin / cabinet” is supposed to be used for.  It could simply be a prep area, but could also be a nice garbage can storage cabinet.

The full PDF can be downloaded when you click on the image below.  This PDF is a very thorough and detailed plan that is 11 pages long and has a material list and cut list (no, they are not the same).   Every step of the plan is laid out with an exploded drawing and layout.
