If you are looking to build a picnic table, you will find a LOT of plans online.  In fact, we have many picnic table plans on WoodworkCity.com.  With most picnic table plans, there are simple versions and versions that are more intricate with folding backs or unique shapes.  Essentially the range of plans is from beginner to intermediate (not quite difficult since the tolerances are rather low).

What this picnic table plan accomplishes is an easy / beginner plan with a custom look.  The table uses a simple picture frame technique for the table top and benches that really dresses up the design.

You can find this full plan at the instructables site.   You might have to register to be able to download the full PDF plan, but it is worthwhile.  In fact, they even have a full “SketchUp” version of this plan.

Good luck building your own 2 x 4 picnic table.

my son is doing his eagle scout project and needs to build two picnic tables for use at the Senior Center in town. When we tried the link to the site for the plans it came up not available. Can you tell us how to download the plans for this table?

These tables look great. My son is opening a flea market and wants tables sitting around. Your designs will be an asset.

      Lyle,

I hope that your son does well. Does he have a website or Facebook page for his new flea market? We would love to see it.

      Thanks for the comment.
