Free porch swing plans

Who doesn’t love a nice porch swing or garden swing.  A swing can be a tricky item to build if it is highly detailed and includes joints and techniques that they average woodworker doesn’t often utilize.  The reason that I like this plan is because it is simplified, yet beautiful, and well constructed.  The plans come from Sunset Magazine and includes a full PDF with detailed drawings and a full material list along with easy to follow instructions.

Many woodworking plans can overwhelm.  The nice thing about the free plans from Sunset, is that they don’t often do that.  They are to the point and well laid out.

Personally I like the design of this swing.  For those who think that a straight back would be uncomfortable, I would encourage you to give it a try.  You might be pleasantly surprised.
