These free cafe style stool plans compliment the cafe style table plans that were featured yesterday.
I have probably featured 3 different designs on a pub table / cafe style table in the past few months. Can you tell that I am undecided on a plan for my own project?
These is a terrific set and this find was precipitated by the fact that my wife knew that I would prefer a stool/chair with a back. The prior pub table stools were plans that did not include a back. Even with the back, this is a very simple design for most to build. The difficulty is in the mortise and tenon that the plans call for for the lower stretchers and upper portion of the stool. With the right glue and a kreg jig to handle pocket holes, you could eliminate the need for the mortise and tenon.
If you aren’t familiar with a Kreg Jig, click on this link. It is a great tool to simplify many traditional styles of joinery.
