The following is a side table plan that could really be the basis for a number of side table / end table projects. This plan is relatively simple with a unique style. The plan includes storage, yet is still a beginner level plan. There aren’t too many difficult techniques to build this table.

Free Sofa Table Plans

My wife recently asked for a hall table / sofa table for our cottage. I happen to have some beautiful timbers from a home that was built in 1889. I fashioned them into a mortise and tenon bench over the summer, but didn’t feel like we were featuring the lumber enough. When she brought up the need for a hall table, I knew that this reclaimed lumber would be perfect for the project. My plan calls for a hall table that is rustic and supported by iron legs.

In my search for a wood plan, I located design that has such a fantastically detailed plan, drawing, and measurements that I had to share it.

This sofa table will look nothing like my finished project, but I wanted to include this transitional hall table for our readers. The measured drawings are terrific and the level of detail is what we hope for from every woodworking plan that we follow.

It has clean lines and a sturdy structure. This plan comes complete with a full cut list and and some detail pictures to help you throughout the process.
