Shaker Bed Woodworking Plans

If you appreciate the understated design in shaker furniture, you will certainly enjoy this woodworking project. This one is from the publisher of “Fine Woodworking” magazine (The Taunton Press). If you have ever picked up an issue of Fine Woodworking, you probably know the level of detail that they include with their plans. This free shaker bed woodworking plan is no different. The project description is thorough and the measured drawings of the detailed sections are a big help. The skill level of this fine woodworking project might be a little advanced, but it is a great place to take your skills to the next level.

These dimensions are for a full-size bed with a mattress up to 8 in. thick. You may have to adjust your dimensions to suit the bed size, the mattress size, or any differences in wood dimensions.

Bunk Bed Plans

As winter rolls in in the northern states, woodworkers move indoors. There probably aren’t too many projects that will bring happiness to your child as his/her first big kid bed. These free bunk bed plans are a terrific project for any woodworker. Your child, or children will be thrilled. If you had bunk beds as a child, you will know what I mean. The possibilities are endless. When I was young, my bunk bed was a bed, a fort, and the coolest place to play board games with my brother.

This is a detailed project, but if your children are sleeping on the bunk beds, you would hope so.
