I wish that we could tell you where to get plans for the giant Adirondack Chair. The 12′ chair has generated a lot of interest. I think the best thing to do might be to hire a skilled framer/carpenter, provide him or her with detailed pictures and see what they can do. It won’t be cheap, but the end result should be something that can be achieved.

Where are you located? Perhaps you could line someone up through your reply.

This bunk bed plan is very simple and cool. When you break it down for storage, you end up with 4 flat sides that can lean against a wall and only take up a few inches of floor space.

Please be sure to read the notes at the bottom of the plan since the material list is not accurate. The number of 1×4′s is very short.

If you are looking to build a tile table for outdoor use, you shouldn’t have any problem if you use the right material. It is good that you plan on keeping it outdoors all season long, since it will weigh a TON when build correctly.

There will probably be issues down the road with a table like this (due to the harsh Minnesota weather) but your table should last years.

If I was to build this, my main concern would be transitions or edges. These are the areas that will be most impacted by the extreme swings in temperature that you guys see in MN. I would build my table base as if I was going to skin the top. I would make it sturdy and be very considerate ot the top heavy nature of my table. For the tile base, I would probably use a cement backer board as if was tiling a shower or a kitchen countertop. In addition to that, I would be very careful to purchase the correct material for the extreme weather. A few extra bucks for the higher end mortar mix and grout will probably add some years of use. Once you project is complete, you will probably want to seal the grout at least 1x per year. More than that would probably be beneficial. Consider an epoxy grout since this will be in extreme conditions.

Do you have any plans for such a thing? I have read online that it is best to build more of a frame for the tiles and not to grout them in since the weather will make the tiles and the wood expand and contract.

Any help is appreciated, and I love this site!
