Trudy,
Thanks for visiting. Are the cat towers on this page the items that you are looking for?

http://www.woodworkcity.com/wordpress/2009/06/23/free-cat-tree-plans/

Let me know. If you have something specific in mind, e-mail a picture (contact@woodworkcity.com) and we'll find a plan that comes close to what you are after.

I looked up for free cat tree/condo plans because I would like to build one for my two babies. but I can seem to find any on your site. Yet on searches it clearly states that you have them and one paticular on that interested me, but I can't find it on here.

Mary,

I wish that we could tell you where to get plans for the giant Adirondack Chair. The 12' chair has generated a lot of interest. I think the best thing to do might be to hire a skilled framer/carpenter, provide him or her with detailed pictures and see what they can do. It won't be cheap, but the end result should be something that can be achieved.

Where are you located? Perhaps you could line someone up through your reply.

Hello,
I would love to purchase a giant adirondack chair (10 or 12'), or at least find building plans, but I came up with nothing on my search. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Roberta,

As a matter of fact, my wife is downstairs painting a set that bread down right this minute. No kidding.

Here is a link to the plan.
http://www.wnyhandyman.com/lakefront-cottage-projects/
The link to the plan is in the 3rd paragraph. The link is titled ana-white.com.

This bunk bed plan is very simple and cool. When you break it down for storage, you end up with 4 flat sides that can lean against a wall and only take up a few inches of floor space.

Please be sure to read the notes at the bottom of the plan since the material list is not accurate. The number of 1x4's is very short.

Good luck and please bookmark / revisit www.woodworkcity.com. We are always happy to locate plans when requested. We can usually find what someone is after within 24 hours.

Matt,

Thanks for the comment and kind words.

If you are looking to build a tile table for outdoor use, you shouldn't have any problem if you use the right material. It is good that you plan on keeping it outdoors all season long, since it will weigh a TON when build correctly.

There will probably be issues down the road with a table like this (due to the harsh Minnesota weather) but your table should last years.

If I was to build this, my main concern would be transitions or edges. These are the areas that will be most impacted by the extreme swings in temperature that you guys see in MN. I would build my table base as if I was going to skin the top. I would make it sturdy and be very considerate ot the top heavy nature of my table. For the tile base, I would probably use a cement backer board as if was tiling a shower or a kitchen countertop. In addition to that, I would be very careful to purchase the correct material for the extreme weather. A few extra bucks for the higher end mortar mix and grout will probably add some years of use. Once you project is complete, you will probably want to seal the grout at least 1x per year. More than that would probably be beneficial. Consider an epoxy grout since this will be in extreme conditions.

I am looking at building a patio table with a tile top (approx 4'x6') for my deck. I am in Minnesota so it needs to be capable of handling the weather all season long.

Do you have any plans for such a thing? I have read online that it is best to build more of a frame for the tiles and not to grout them in since the weather will make the tiles and the wood expand and contract.

Any help is appreciated, and I love this site!

Matt,

I was surprised to find that we didn't have a planter box plan on our site. I added the free planter box plan today. Take a look: http://www.woodworkcity.com/wordpress/2011/02/16/free-planter-bench-plans/

Thanks for visiting.
