These plans are for a mirrored privacy screen and are from Home Depot. The mirrored concept is… well… interesting. If I had a small space, I would probably consider it, but without the right kind of mirror, it could pose a safety hazard. Don’t forget about the glare from the sun. Like the mirror, or not, this is a nice simple plan.

Here are some free fence gate plans. Eventually, even the most well made fence gate will break down, fall apart, sag, etc. If this is the case with yours, maybe it is time for a replacement.

These plans also give you advice on hanging your gate. Obviously this is something that you will skin with material that matches your current gate, or fence. Heck, while your at it, you might want to consider a whole new fence for your yard.

Let’s depart from the outdoor furniture plans for a minute. Here is a simple plan for a Jacob’s Ladder. If you don’t know what a Jacobs ladder, you will certainly recognize it once you see the toy. You will probably proclaim “so that is what it is called”.
This is a very easy wood plan that you can work on with your child. It is also a great project if you are overrun with scrap wood that you can’t seem to let go of. I don’t know if you are a woodworker like me, but I can’t throw anything extra lumber out. When the time does come that I am able to build something out of excess material, I am very pleased.

Here are some great plans for a potting table or a potting bench. You might also call this a gardener’s table or bench. There are so many great plans out there and they are buried as PDF files or worse. This free wood plan is from Lowe’s and comes with complete instructions, extensive illustrations, material list, and cutting list.
Even if you don’t like the look of the lattice, you can use this as a foundation for a better outdoor garden bench. Good luck. Click on the picture to be taken to the PDF of the full woodworking plan.

This is a simple plan for a wishing well planter. This is a nice garden or yard ornament and could be scaled to be a large size project. The roof is made of cedar shingles and the body of the wishing well can be made from cedar, or pressure treated lumber. Enjoy this wood project.
You can view the full plan by clicking on the image.

These free coffee table wood plans will help you to build a great project that should last for years. The nice part about this table is that they tabletop is hinged to allow for storage, but it does a nice job in terms of the scale. It doesn’t appear to be a clunky storage table. Take a look and good luck with this great DIY project.

More planter box plans. We posted earlier about a set of planter box plans from Black and Decker.
This is a slightly different style, but has the same simple construction. These planter boxes are constructed of 2″x4″ and 2″x2″ lumber along with some basic deck screws and nails. There isn’t a lot to the construction, yet the horizontal design gives it a unique look.

Good luck with all of your outdoor projects this season and please let me know if there is a free wood plan you need. I will locate and post the following day.
