Boy do I love this bench plan. This bench is simple, attractive and will fit in virtually any decor (dependent on the finish). This is a bench that could fit outdoors or in. I could see this in a mudroom, on a sunporch, in a garage, or on a front porch or patio. The simplicity could make a perfect project for a school class or scout troop.
This bench is built with 12 pieces! That is it. That includes all support pieces, cleats, etc. In fact, it is 12 pieces, but 4 of those are duplicates, so you are really only making cuts and setting up for 8 total parts.
This is a style so simple that you could dress it up in a few ways if that is your desire. You could alter the shape on the sides (ends). You could revise the ends and add an arm. You could create a pattern for the upper back or create a patter on the front skirt. Have fun with this one.
