Mailbox Planter Plans

If you are in the northern part of the US and are knee deep in snow right now, you certainly know what a snowplow can do to a simple mailbox that is mounted on a 4 x 4 post.  Well, you might already be propping your mail box up.  If that is the case, it is time to get to building a new box.  This mailbox plan has a nice planter at the base that will look beautiful in the spring and might just hold up to the plow next year.

These plans are from Lowe’s and make for a nice project, since you can pick up all material in one trip to the store.

If you aren’t buried by the snow, this is still a nice mailbox that you will be proud of.  Good luck building.

We love this mailbox planter and went to Lowe’s to get the plan and supplies. They never heard of it! Can you tell us how to get the plan! It’s perfect. I thought I saw it in Better Homes and Gardens once but can’t find it there either. THANKS!

      Kristine,

I am sorry, but we cannot locate the plans. Some of the major companies tend to do this. They publish great content (wood plans) and then alter their web site. After the modifications, they scrap old content. I searched high and low for a copy of the plans in the photo but was unable to locate.

If I were in your shoes, I would find a suitable planter plan and modify from there. Sorry that we couldn’t help.
